What is Riso?
Riso is short for Risograph. It’s a Japanese printer/printing process that is similar to screen-printing, using rich spot colours and stencils to create tactile and vibrant prints, with little impact to our environment.

Riso prints are made by layering different coloured soy based inks to create bold and vibrant images. Because this process requires adding one layer of ink at a time, slight changes in registration and variations in ink coverage are natural, and indeed, desired. Riso delivers ‘perfect imperfections’, giving character, texture and making every print unique.
